His Excellency (H.E.), Dr. Csaba BALOGH, Ambassador of Hungary accredited in Slovakia visited the NATO EOD COE on 05 APR 2023.
Colonel Robert CSASZAR, the COE Director warmly welcomed the Hungarian ambassador’s delegation (one of the five Sponsoring Nations) and shared the NATO EOD COE mission, vision and long terms objectives. Lieutenant Colonel Alexander HUGYAR, Education and Training (E&T) Department Head informed the distinguished guests in details about EOD courses and EOD specialized advice that are available for NATO and NATO partners. Moreover, Lieutenant David SLATKOVSKY, EOD Technologies Department Subject Matter Expert elaborated on ongoing project „Virtual Reality training kit” that will utilize innovative teaching technologies into EOD E&T area.
In addition, COE director updated Lieutenant Colonel László T. LESKÓ, HUN Military Attaché in Slovakia about the benefits of being the sponsor of COE and the process of accessing and using all deliverables that the Centre offers to SNs and its community of interest.
The HUN ambassador’s visit continued by a tribute to fallen soldiers in WWI and wreath laying at the Military Cemetery in Trenčín - Kubrá.
Concluding the visit’s agenda, H.E. Dr. Csaba BALOGH expressed his gratitude in the Centre’s Book of Honour, wished all the best to the COE members and smooth execution of future tasks in support of our important mission.
