The NATO Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (NATO EOD COE) was honoured to host a distinguished guest, the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini. Upon arrival, the President was formally welcomed by Major General Ivan Balog, the Land Forces Commander and the Commander of Trenčin Garrison, alongside Colonel František Mihalovič, Director of the NATO EOD COE. The official program commenced with an in-depth briefing by Colonel Mihalovič, who outlined the Centre’s strategic mission, vision, tasks and the long-term objectives of the NATO EOD COE.

From 18-20th March 2026, the ETACS project management team within the NATO EOD COE Technology Department successfully conducted a field test at the 905th Specialized Combat Support Center in Nováky. This validation process was implemented in close cooperation with fifth-year cadets from the Armed Forces Academy (AOS) in Liptovský Mikuláš and the representatives of 4Experience – the virtual reality software development company working on the ETACS project.

We were honoured to take part in the 22nd International Symposium “Mine Action 2026,” held in Split, Croatia, from 23 to 25 March 2026. This edition was especially notable due to the announcement that Croatia has been declared a mine-free country after 30 years of humanitarian demining.
