160 years of Romanian Military Engineering

The director of the EOD COE had an honour to attend the official celebration ceremony of Romanian engineers. The event took place on 31 May 2019 in Bordusani training area.

The activity was led by the commander of the 10th Engineer Brigade COL IONESCU and it was attended by several distinguished guests from Romania and other NATO countries.

The ceremony included dynamic and static displays of engineer and EOD capabilities. The most impressive was the pontoon bridge over the Danube River in total length of 630 metres with MLC 60 tons.

The EOD COE Director used the opportunity and discussed with the ROU National Training Centre for MILENG, EOD and CBRN Commander LTC ARINTON and with EOD Training Base instructor LTC BACANU  details related to the delivery of the Home Made Explosive – Basic course, which will be hosted at Ramnicu Valcea in 2020. The activity set the conditions to finalize the Technical Agreement between the entities.
