18th EOD COE Steering Committee Meeting

The 18th EOD COE Steering Committee Meeting was held on 8 – 12 April 2019 in the premises of the Polish MILENG & CBRN Training Centre in Wroclaw, Poland.

Sponsoring Nations representatives met to discuss & find consensus on financial issues, amendments to job descriptions, issues related to CIS and its enhancement of cyber defence. The SC received updates on the EOD COE progress according to the 2019 Programme of Work, E&IT 2020 calendar, ongoing and future projects, as well as on new requirements since the last meeting.

Thanks to the generosity of the Polish host, the SC members visited the 1st Combat Engineering Regiment in Brzeg, where a great display of their equipment and capabilities were shown. The introduction of the rich Polish engineering history in the Hall of Tradition was an impressive and valuable item of honour for all.

The SC meeting ended with success and all issues in agenda were solved also due to the great and cordial support of Polish Chief Engineer COL Wawrzyniak.
