The 9th Meeting of the Military Engineering (MILENG) Working Group was hosted by the MILENG COE in Ingolstadt, Germany from 19 to 23 January 2015.
The EOD COE was represented by COL Lubomir Mrvan (SVK) – DIR and LTC (ret) Daniel ZOLLER (SVK) – specialist of Doctrine and Standardisation section. For the meeting delegates focused its near-term main efforts of the guidance received from NATO Senior Engineer Leadership of the NATO nations most specifically the MILENG Vision and Objectives, SMART Defence Initiatives and MILENG DPAG. Further more MILENG implications to the framework of future Alliance Operations were discussed. Update on new architecture of MILENG publications and revision of publications in the area of Materiel, Infrastructure and Support to Force Protection were addressed as well. Concerning the EOD doctrine development, in order to meet joint level criteria, MILENG WG recommended making this publication more operational.
The Centre acknowledged ongoing process within the MILENG WG and take this session to make liaison with representatives of other bodies of interest for the EOD COE.
