Arctic Specialist Exercise 2017 (AS EXER 2017)

Exercise AS EXER 2017 is an annual Multi-National Interservice EOD exercise hosted by Norwegian NAVAL base (NAVBS) in Ramsund. Aim of the exercise is to provide training, exercise and development of land and maritime EOD Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) at the squad and team level, in cold weather environment (CWE). 

This year iteration of the EXER lasted from 06 FEB till 17 FEB 2017. At the EXER, there were three nations participating in (DNK, NOR, USA); approx. 120 EOD participants from Land, Air and Maritime environment. In line with NATO EOD COE’s ambitions for developing contribution to EOD related exercises, the NATO EOD COE facilitated AS EXER 2017 by one EOD Subject Matter Expert (SME) as a member of the Dedicated Exercise Control Team (DECT).
