Force Protection in Mountain Warfare Seminar

NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence (NATO MW COE) and the Romanian Land Forces organized the 3-day “Force Protection in Mountain Warfare” seminar in Brașov, Romania, from 25 to 27 April 2023, covering the specifics of Force Protection elements during operations in mountainous environments.
The seminar brought together lecturers and specialists from different branches and fields of work that offer or have an impact on Force Protection. Their combined knowledge provided the audience with an understanding of the significance of protection in Mountain Warfare operations.
MAJ Adrian PETER, the Head of Transformation Support Department at NATO Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (NATO EOD COE), joined the event as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). He delivered a lecture regarding EOD support during Mountain Warfare operations, highlighting the significant contribution of EOD staff and force elements to force protection.
NATO EOD COE will continue to support all NATO COEs initiatives by including the EOD expertise in all the relevant activities.
