NATO CBRN EOD Incident Management Staff Officer Training 2023

This year's portfolio of training activities organized by the NATO EOD Centre Of Excellence concludes with the course NATO CBRN EOD Incident Management Staff Officer Training (NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT) held from 06 NOV to 10 NOV in Trencin and Novaky (Slovakia). The course aims to train/educate students in managing CBRN EOD incident up to the brigade staff level during multinational operations and provide an expert’s advice to the operational commanders on CBRN EOD related matters.

This iteration of NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT was attended by 17 students (EOD/ or CBRN staff officers) from 12 NATO countries (BEL, CZE, DEU, ESP, GRC, LTU, NLD, POL, ROU, SVK, TUR, USA). All of the selected countries’ nominees met the preconditions for a successful course completion. Five days filled with theoretical lectures, live demonstration and most importantly practical exercise helped them in achieving this goal alongside a carefully prepared team of instructors from different units or organizations such as the Belgian EOD Group, JCBRND COE from the Czech Republic, Britain representative from NFIU, OPCW expert from the Netherlands, Slovak CBRN Battalion and Slovak National Centre for EOD and CBRN.
