The 10th Anniversary of the Homemade Explosives Course Advance delivery

That has been 10 years since the NATO EOD COE received a request from  Allied Command Operations (ACO) to analyse a missing Homemade Explosives Education (HME). Respecting the ACO request, from 2012 to 2022, the NATO EOD COE has been delivered 20 iterations of  the HME Course Advanced (HMEC-A).

In this unique occasion on 22 JUL 2022, NATO EOD COE Education and Training Department together with HMEC-A representatives of the contributing institutions celebrated the 10th year anniversary of the course delivery at the MTA Lest.

On behalf of the NATO EOD COE Sponsoring nations, LTC Alexander HUGYAR (NATO EOD COE Head of Education and Training Department) expressed the Centre’s gratitude to all partners that contribution enables to provide a specific knowledge for an already EOD trained operator. In line with the results of the HMEC-A key performance indicators, the involved party’s professionalism, broad HME received knowledge and the course’s environment have been meeting the 24 NATO and 5 NATO partner nations graduates satisfaction at the highest level.

During the celebration, entities coming from military, industry and academia valued the opportunity to continue cooperation that benefits their common HME area of expertise.
