From 30th January to 01st February 2024, the HQ Supreme Allied Command Transformation (SACT) conducted a Periodic Assessment (PA) of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD COE). The PA was planned and organized with principles that are reference to Military Committee Policy for Centres of Excellence (MC 0685). Following the MC 0685, the assessment is mandatory to prove any of the NATO-accredited Centres of Excellence (COE) continuous consistency with NATO standards and procedures.
The HQ SACT PA Team led by Ms. Rasa Pazarauskiene discussed and interviewed the EOD COE members in order to finalise the PA Questionnaire (PAQ) that will be distributed on NATO Military Committee’s further approval.
During the closing remarks and de-brief, the HQ SACT PA Team appreciated the EOD COE’s cooperation to NATO’s capabilities as a recognized institution on EOD field of expertise. Moreover, Ms. Rasa Pazarauskiene expressed the HQ SACT PA Team’s satisfaction with an exemplary approach to the preparation and execution phase of the PA.
Concluding the PA, Rear Admiral Placido TORRESI (DCOS JFD), Brigadier General Moschos VOUDOURIS (ACOS JFD), with presence of the EOD COE Steering Committee Chairman, LTC Ján Adamusko (SVK-A); there were highlighted the observations and recommendations of the HQ SACT PA Team that focuses on NATO’s Warfare capstone concept and on the NATO’s Multi-domain aspects.
Nevertheless, EOD COE Director Colonel František MIHALOVIČ (SVK-A) expressed his gratitude to all- involved EOD COE staff for an outstanding performance and well- prepared event that was held in a virtual form.
