Representatives of C-IED COE visit the EOD COE

In harmony with preparations for the NATO EOD Demonstrations and Trials 2016 (NATO EOD DaT16) to be held in Bratislava on 6-7 SEP 2016, Col Mike Evans, Deputy Director of the NATO C-IED COE and Maj Phil Cordaro, Section Chief of the NATO C-IED COE visited the NATO EOD COE on 2 JUN 2016.

NATO EOD COE and CIED COE develop their mutual cooperation within several activities in order to be more productive and efficient in support of CIED and EOD Communities of Interest (COI). Organizing of the NATO EOD DaT 16 is one of the good examples for achieving common goals as the CIED COE exploited an opportunity to open specific topics in the second half of the scheduled conference. This way the whole event embraces a wider scope of EOD and CIED related objectives and it creates a platform for sharing and networking within and between both COIs.

During the scheduled working meeting on 2 Jun 2016 a number of NATO EOD DaT 16 issues were discussed, clarified, and agreed how to proceed. What is more, both sides dedicated their attention also to the further projects, which could benefit from coordinated works in the future.

The meeting settled down the most of pending NATO EOD DaT 16 questions and confirmed the desired path in enhancing mutual cooperation between both COEs.
