Sweden's Ambassador to Austria and Slovakia visited EOD COE

On February 29, 2024, the NATO EOD COE received a visit from Sweden's Ambassador to Austria and Slovakia, H.E. Ms Annika Markovic, accompanied by military attache LTC Jörgen Marqvardsen.

Colonel František Mihalovic (SVK-A), EOD COE director, provided a briefing on the Centre's history, structure, mission and vision. The Head of the Education and Training Department provided a short brief on the Centre´s education and training activities. Members of the EOD The Technologies Department presented the ETACS Project and showcased the capabilities of the VR software. During the discussion, the Director of the Centre asked the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to inform the Swedish Ministry of Defence and General Staff about the offer to become the next Sponsoring Nation of the EOD Centre of Excellence.
