First and foremost a huge ‘’Thank you’’ to Belgium Armed Forces for excellent organization of 70th EOD WG meeting, which took place in Brugge. Participation of this meeting consisted of EOD COE delegation headed by director of EOD COE COL Frantisek Mihalovic supplemented by deputy director Lt COL Blake ZENTENO (U.S. Army) and others SMEs. EOD COE brought on the table interesting topics for the EOD community aiming to increase efficiency in doctrinal process. EOD COEs initiative payed off when our proposals to the WG were accepted and endorsed by the WG. The members of COE proposed solutions in field of terminology, including taxonomy, minimum standards of proficiency, provided study drafts for standards in revision and proposed the EOD related standards overhaul. Our work met with appreciation and we were encouraged to be even more involved in the processes. NATO is constantly evolving and EOD WG needs to keep the track with a current innovation and be able to react more flexibly. Well-written standard it’s not only the question of one individual and/or custodian, it’s responsibility of every nation representative. Approach of individuals matters. So, be the change for better EOD future.
