The CISM "Commemorative Run" 2026 in Trencin

NATO EOD COE proudly participated in this worldwide initiative by organizing the "Commemorative Run" on 18 February in Trencin. We commemorated the foundation of the International Military Sports Council (CISM), emphasized the importance of sport in the performance of the military profession, and expressed our solidarity with CISM.

Despite the winter weather conditions, the participants embarked on different distances, with many soldiers, civilian staff, and retired soldiers choosing to complete multiple laps at their pace. The diverse group, encompassing various ages and genders, was united by a shared commitment to physical fitness and camaraderie.

This event highlighted the importance of physical activity in military life and reinforced the bonds of unity and friendship among participants, embodying the CISM motto: "Friendship through Sport."
