10th EOD Workshop
The 10th EOD WS was held in the period of 5 - 6 NOV 2024 in Samorin, SVK as an in-person event. The workshop was continuum of the EOD COE WS series since 2012. This event brought together around a hundred international experts, practitioners, academics and innovators to explore critical developments in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).
The agenda was designed to elaborate on the following topics:
- EOD as a helper around the globe
- EOD training of today and for tomorrow
- Technological Helix and synergies of innovations
- AI and EOD
The objectives settled for the WS and particular topic blocks were achieved as the participants got an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest experience and lessons from several EOD missions and works around the world, particular best practices in the EOD training in selected nations, a number of very inspirational approaches and innovations in the EOD and related technologies as well as some valuable insights on current and future applicability of AI in the EOD area.
Beside that all attendees exploited the WS platform for networking, discussions on concrete challenging issues and space for the future mutual cooperation. All in all, the workshop reinforced a collaborative commitment to advancing EOD capabilities, equipping participants with innovative insights and strategies to address the evolving complexities of modern explosive threats.
