Annual Disciplines Forum 2024 (ADF24)

From 19 FEB to 22 FEB 2024, the NATO Allied Command Transformation/Joint Force Development/Education & Training Plans & Programmes Branch called for an ADF24 conference. The ADF24 was conducted in person at the Van der Valk Congress & Spa Hotel in Mons, Belgium. The main effort of the ADF24 was to coordinate the work of Requirement Authorities (RAs), Department Heads (DHs) and Education and Training Facilities (ETFs) in support of the Collective and Individual Education & Training activities. The entire event was accompanied soundly by NATO’s concepts, e.g. Multidomain Operations (MDO), NATO’s Warfare Development Agenda (WDA) and Digital Transformation.

The ADF24 comprehensive agenda enabled interactive discussions on the following objectives:

• Expected interaction of the Education, Training, Exercises and Evaluation (ETEE) stakeholders within MDO, WDA and Digital Transformation subjects.
• Management of the E&T activities by utilizing electronic Education, Training, Opportunities catalogue.
• NATO’s Quality Management System, including ETFs that successfully reached NATO’s Quality Assurance accreditation.
• Synergy between the Education & Individual Training and Collective Training & Exercises.
• Pre-meeting for setting up conditions for an identified military discipline Annual Discipline Conference. 

Concluding the outcomes of the RA-DH-ETF, the ADF24 event is a unique platform to start and harmonize NATO’s military disciplines across NATO’s ETEE Battle Rhythm activities.
