Colonel Mihalovič Assumes Command of EOD COE in an Official Handover Ceremony from Colonel Császár

The Change of Command Ceremony took place at the Garrison Club in Trenčín and was attended by numerous high ranking military and civilian representatives partner nations and dignities.

Among distinguished guests were Minister of Defence Martin SKLENÁR, Deputy Chief of Defence of the Slovak Armed Forces LtGen Ľubomír SVOBODA, Chief of the Military Engineering Directorate of the Polish Armed Forces BrigGen Marek WAWRZYNIAK, Deputy Commander of the Land Forces of the Slovak Armed forces BrigGen Ivan BALOG.

On looking at the Centre’s accomplishments over the last years, it is apparent that Colonel Császár has done an excellent job and together with his team has contributed vastly to this unique organization. It is obvious that the success of the Centre and its achievements have a great deal to do with his principled and experienced leadership.

After five and half very successful, but challenging years, Colonel Császár handed over the command and responsibility of the Centre of Excellence for EOD to his successor.

Colonel František Mihalovič, the new commander, is an experienced commander and a genuine engineer by his military education and military career at different posts and levels of command while serving in the Armed Forces. This experience together with those he gained as the commander of the National EOD and RCHBO Centre will be a source of great ideas and enthusiasm.
