To improve relations, interoperability and practical cooperation with partners, NATO command elements, member countries and international organization in the area of EOD through the leveraging of the latest information and capability development aiming to prepare technologically advanced, interoperable and well trained NATO EOD experts to enable the entire spectrum of Alliance operations. In addition to Slovakia also Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Poland and Romania are involved in running of the Centre. In short time the position of the Chief of Staff will be held by a member of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The Minister of Defence was also interested in cooperation with other countries and possibility of saving money according to philosophy Smart Defence. Its goal is to manage NATO member countries to effectively handle their limited defence budgets through joint projects.Finally he expressed belief that this first Alliance institution on the Slovak territory has helped to highlight its good reputation in international environment.
