The aim of the visit was to present to the Romanian guests an overview of the EOD COE activities as current and future education and training activities and projects are concerned.
The Romanian delegation was briefed by the EOD COE Director, COL Lubomir Mrvan on the EOD COE history, its mission and structure, lines of efforts and deliverables currently offered the EOD Community of Interest with the focus on training and EOD technology and database.
H.E. Arhire mentioned the commitment of Romania as a Sponsoring Nation to continue supporting the Centre and thanked the Director for the involvement in the development of the education and individual training in the Romanian EOD structure by sending the mobile training teams to Romania in 2015 and 2016.
Both the Director and Ambassador thanked LTC Augustin Cirjan, ROU(A) for his activity during his assignment to the Centre from June 2012 to June this year.
The visit ended with the official lunch hosted by the EOD COE Director in the presence of the Romanian Ambassador, H.E. Steluta Arhire, Second Secretary of the ROU Embassy Mr. Radu Mircea Coanta and Heads of the EOD COE departments.
