Acting Assistant COS JENG Division, NATO SHAPE visits the Centre

On 9 February 2016, Colonel Bert Keij, acting Assistant Chief of Staff for Joint Engineering (JENG) Division, NATO SHAPE accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Jan Petter Varhol visited the EOD Centre of Excellence.

As the JENG Division coordinates all military engineering inputs, i.e. including EOD, to the planning and execution of operations, main topics of the discussion as NDPP development, CS/CC for EOD units and support to EOD education and training requirements were talked over. In this frame, some questions arising from the Allied Joint Doctrine for EOD, a guide intended for operational commanders and staff, were also discussed. In conclusion, the representatives of both subjects outlined the possible ways ahead for improving and increasing the future cooperation.
