Altogether, 14 trainees from BEL, CZE, DEU, SVK, SVN attended the course. This basic-level course was this year's first iteration - based on the EOD COE's 2013 Programme of Work - and was organized on the Ammunition Testing Centre´s (ATC) premises within Nováky military base.

During the first two days of the course the attendees were taught to recognize individual precursors that are often used in the HME manufacturing process, as well as the final HME products. Great emphasis was also placed on recognition of various manufacturing equipment and clandestine HME laboratories. The third day of the course also saw a practical demonstration of ATC' explosives testing facilities, demonstration of various HME effects and one training scenario focused on the reconnaissance of HME clandestine laboratories.
