From the 8^th to the 12^th of November 2021 NATO EOD COE organized the NATO CBRN EOD Incident Management Staff Officer Training (CBRN EOD IM SOT) in Trencin and Novaky, Slovakia. The NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT comprised of theoretical lessons and practical exercises combined with live demonstration.

The development and execution of NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT was greatly supported by expertize of instructors from NATO JCBRN Defence COE from the Czech Republic, the Belgian EOD Group, the Italian C-IED COE, the DEMS Training Regiment from Great Britain, an expert from OPCW, the Slovak CBRN Battalion and the Slovak National Centre for EOD and CBRN.

In total, 11 students from NATO countries (DEU, FRA, GBR, GRC, NLD, PRT, ROU, SVK) attended the course. All of them successfully completed the training and fulfilled the Education and Individual Training student’s assessment criteria embedded in the NATO EOD COE Quality Assurance policy.

On 11^th of November, the Remembrance Day, commemorating the day the war ended in 1918, the students and the NATO EOD COE’s representatives held the two-minute silence to honour those who had lost their lives.
