First COE Marketplace at NATO HQ

LTC Sandor Zsiros,the  EOD COE Chief of Staff, accompanied by LTC Milan Jankura (Transformation Support department) and MSGT Gergely Brandt (Technology department) advertised the EOD COE during the COE Marketplace organized at NATO HQ in Brussels, Belgium, from 15 to 16 July 2019.

The Marketplace as a new initiative of Allied Command Transformation was open by Ms Rose Gottemoeler, NATO`s Deputy Secretary General. All 25 accredited COEs used the opportunity  to present their roles and responsibilities to the national delegates and NATO HQ staff. 

The activities of the EOD COE were presented by EOD COE COS  LTC Sandor Zsiros within the “Operation Support – Land” Panel. The event was very beneficial for members of NATO HQ, who had for the first time an opportunity to recognize, understand and embrace the value of expertise, support and advice provided by COEs to the Alliance.

The event was also beneficial for all COEs  as they were able to strengthen their interaction and learn from each other not only about the Centres` activities, but also about the common challenges they face.

The members of the EOD COE advertised also upcoming seventh NATO EOD Workshop, inviting the Centres that are part of the EOD Community of Interest, to attend the event to be held in Trencin, Slovakia, from 24 – 26 September 2019.

The EOD COE booth among others visited Chairman Military Committee Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, Slovak Ambassador to NATO Mr Radovan Javorčík and Director NATO Standardization Office Brigadier General Zoltán Gulyás.
