Quality Assurance Reaccreditation as a NATO Educational and Training Facility

EOD COE proved its proficiency & capability, compliance with NATO procedures and standards in 2016. Since then, the COE is a NATO Education and Training Facility with Unconditional Quality Assurance Accreditation.

On 18-20 January 2022, the NATO HQ SACT Quality Assurance Team of Experts conducted an on-site virtual visit to the EOD COE to assess the development and overall management of the Centre. Due to COVID-19 counter-measures and travel restrictions, the evaluation & verification was conducted through on-line meeting and electronic exchange of required documents and information. The ACT team audited the implemented Quality Management System and NATO Quality Assurance standards within COE.

External observers from other entities were allowed to attend the VTC in order to support their own preparation and gain initial experience on administration. The last day was concluded by TOE’s hot wash-up. The first impression or conclusion is very positive and the COE received some recommendations for further improvement as well.

The final evaluation report will be elaborated by the Quality Assurance Team within few weeks and the confirmation of continuous compliance to standards and accreditation as NATO ETF is expected in a few months.
