The NATO EOD COE was invited by the Swedish EOD and Demining Centre to celebrate Saint Barbara who became the patron of artillerymen and she is also traditionally the patron  of armourers, military engineers, gunsmiths, miners and anyone else who worked with cannon and explosives. The Chief of Staff, LTC Zsiros, represented the COE in support of strengthening the close relationship and mutual collaboration of training opportunities. 

The event was organized from 02 to 04 December 2019 in Eksjö, Sweden. During the first day, the EOD seminar was conducted where various topics related to EOD profession were discussed. On the second day, the Saint Barbara ceremony was celebrated in the Eksjö Town Church. Distinguished guests and representatives from NATO countries and international organizations joined this important event.
