The Swedish Armed Forces organized the 25th Counter-Improvised Explosive Devices Working Group (C-IED WG). The meeting was held at Karlberg Military Academy, Stockholm, Sweden from 20 to 22 June 2023. The agenda followed the chairman specific guidance, focusing on NATO Military Committee Land Standardization Board (MCLSB) priorities for this working group.
Since the personnel dynamic in NATO nations and structures is at high level, the event also served as a platform for developing new relations and information sharing. MAJ Adrian PETER (ROU-A), the Head of Transformation Support Department (TSD) at the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD COE), joined the working group and brought his contribution especially to the Doctrine and Terminology Panel (DTP).
The EOD COE is an active player in the C-IED Community of Interest and continues its commitment by providing updated information from the EOD field of expertise.

As we bid farewell to MAJ Adrian PETER (ROU-A), who has been a member of the EOD COE team since March 2022, we acknowledge the conclusion of a meaningful chapter and the contributions of a dedicated professional. Throughout his tenure, MAJ Adrian PETER brought insight, drive, and subject-matter expertise to the evolving EO domain. His ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes, foster understanding in complex environments, and provide consistent support to colleagues made a lasting impact on the Centre.

On 16 July 25, the Ambassador from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Excellency, Ambassador Jules Gerzon, visited the NATO EOD COE. This visit underscores the importance of international collaboration, cooperation, and shared commitment to advancing EOD capabilities. The Netherlands remains an incredible EOD partner and we look forward to expanding opportunities.

From 16th June to 20th June 2025, and from 23rd June to 27th June2025, the NATO EOD COE organized two iterations of the Homemade Explosive Course - Advanced (HMEC-A) at the Military Training Area in Lest, Slovakia.
