Aim:
The aim of the NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT is to prepare EOD staff officers to plan and manage responses to CBRN EOD incidents and to advise commanders on CBRN EOD considerations, enabling effective support to NATO-led operations in a multinational environment.
Course objectives:

After successful completion of the course, the graduates will be able to:

  • plan the response to CBRN EOD incidents,
  • advise on EOD aspects to the commander,
  • manage the response to CBRN EOD incidents.
Depth of knowledge:

Apply (on the basis of Bi-SC 075-007 Education and Individual Training Directive)

5 days (4 days of theory, 1 day of practical exercise)

Target audience:

NATO and NATO Partner Nations’ EOD officers and CBRN officers  at the operational level:

  • JFCBS/NP: JENG/EOD Coordination Cell
  • NFS HQ: EOD CC

Pre-requisites:

  • NATO EOD Staff Officer Training or national equivalent.
  • Personnel with 5 or more years of experience.
Security classification:
NATO Unclassified, releasable to NATO PfP, Australia and New Zealand.
Prerequisites:
  • Complete the course ADL 374 Introduction to Multi-Domain Operations. The applicants are approved for the training after providing the ADL 374 Graduation certificate.
  • Complete the course ADL 169 Gender perspective in Military Operations. The applicants are approved for the training after providing the ADL 169 Graduation certificate.
  • Complete the course ADL 367 NATO EOD Doctrine Course. The applicants are approved for the training after providing the ADL 367 Graduation certificate.
  • Language: English, desired level of standard language proficiency (SLP) is 2222 (in accordance with STANAG 6001)
