Aim:
The aim of the training is to train non-qualified EOD staff officers in planning, preparation, command, control, and coordination of EOD operations activities within NATO-led operations in a multinational environment.
Course objectives:

After successfully completion of the course, the graduates will be able to:

  • advise the commander on EOD aspects,
  • coordinate EOD aspects of operations on the JTF level,
  • plan and manage EOD activities in support of operations,

Apply (on the basis of Bi-SC 075-7 Education and Individual Training Directive)
Course length:

11 days comprising 1 day of Distributed Delivery and 10 days of Residential Delivery

The ADL (Advanced Distance Learning) phase is an integral part of the course. The eLessons will be available to students via Internet.  Successful completion of the ADL tests is the fundamental precondition for attending the course.

Target audience:

NATO and NATO Partner Nations’ officers to serve or are intended to serve in EOD or EOD related positions at the operational and tactical level:

  • JFCBS/NP: JENG/EOD Coordination Cell
  • LANDCOM: GENG/MN EOD CC
  • AIRCOM: A3/A4 ENG/MN EOD CC
  • NFS HQ: EOD CC

Additionally, contribute to the C-IED approach.
Security classification:
NATO Unclassified. Releasable to NATO PfP, Australia and New Zealand. 
Prerequisites:

Language: English, desired level of language proficiency (SLP) 2222 in accordance with STANAG 6001 

Complete the course ADL 374 Introduction to Multi-Domain Operations. The applicants are approved for the training after providing the ADL 374 Graduation certificate.

Complete the course ADL 169 Gender perspective in Military Operations. The applicants are approved for the training after providing the ADL 169 Graduation certificate.

Complete the course ADL 367 NATO EOD Doctrine Course. The applicants are approved for the training after providing the ADL 367 Graduation certificate.
