During September 2015 the EOD COE Training Branch organized two runs of the Homemade Explosives Course – basic. The courses were performed with the assistance of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Ammunition Testing Centre (ATC) and Institute of Energetic Materials (University of Pardubice, Czech Republic).

In harmony with mid-term EOD COE´s goals and objectives the Chief of the EOD Capability Development Branch (Maj Truchly) leads the project “CBRN EOD Staff Officer Incident Management Training”, which should fill in a recognised gap within EOD training activities.

The courses were performed with the assistance of Subject Matter Experts from US Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Thermo Fischer Scientific(USA), Quinetiq(USA), Alluviam(USA), Institute of Energetic Materials (University of Pardubice, CZE), 15th Engineering Regiment(CZE) and National Centre of EOD and CBRN(SVK).

The C-IED COE in coordination with EOD COE organized the 2nd C-IED Technology Workshop in Madrid during the 9th to 11th June 2015. The EOD COE was represented by EOD COE Director COL Ľubomír Mrváň SVK(A), LTC Grzegorz Motak POL(A), LTC (Ret) Daniel Zoller, CPT Zuzana Čahojová and Mrs. Anna Farkašová.

The meeting ran from 22 to 24 April 2015 in Berlin, DEU. Delegates from 16 NATO nations, 2PfP country (BIH, SWE), ACT , ACO, JFC Brunsum, JALLC, NATO HQ/CNAD and 4 Centres of Ecellence comprising C-IED, EOD, MILENG, CSW participated in the meeting.
