From October 14th to 18th, 2024, NATO EOD COE organized NATO CBRN EOD Incident Management Staff Officer Training (CBRN EOD IM SOT) in Trencin and Novaky, Slovakia. The NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT consisted of theoretical lessons, practical exercises, and live demonstrations.

From 24 SEPT to 10 OCT 2024, the Icelandic Coast Guard hosted the multinational Bomb Disposal Exercise "The Northern Challenge (NC Ex)". The NC Ex aimed to train response to real-life terrorist incidents involving IEDs and other EOD-related scenarios, similar to those that have occurred in recent NATO missions and to be expected in the future.

The Hungarian Explosive Ordnance Disposal Day, observed on September 27th, is a special occasion in the Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF). The day aims to honour all those who have lost their lives while disposing of explosives and the professionals who continue to put their lives in danger during times of war. These heroes deserve special recognition since they put their lives at stake for the country and its people.

The SlovakiaTech Forum-Expo 2024, the largest innovation and technology conference in Slovakia, played host to a diverse range of exhibitors and thought leaders this year. Among them were Mr. VOSTIAR and Mr. FUCEK, distinguished representatives from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD COE), who participated with great interest in the event's rich program of activities.

The Military Engineering Center of Excellence (MILENG COE), in close coordination with the Supreme Allied Command Transformation (HQ SACT), organised the NATO-Accredited COE Directors Conference in Ingolstadt (GER) from 09 to 12 September 2024. The NATO EOD COE was represented by Colonel František Mihalovič.

After a distinguished and impactful career, both in uniform and as a civilian, Retired SVK Army Colonel Peter Dudra is embarking on a new chapter: full retirement. As of August 31, 2024, Colonel Dudra will officially close the final chapter of his professional life, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and dedication.

On the 16th of August 2024, SSG Roman Lamparský (SVK-A) concluded his deployment to EOD COE. As per the CHOD personal order, he will transition to the role of the Course Administrator and Instructor at The NATO School Oberammergau.

Alexander HUGYAR, and the Head of Transformation Support Department, MAJ. Adrian PETER, had a working visit to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD).
