Periodic Assessment (PA) of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence

From 30th January to 01st February 2024, the HQ Supreme Allied Command Transformation (SACT) conducted a Periodic Assessment (PA) of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD COE). The PA was planned and organized with principles that are reference to Military Committee Policy for Centres of Excellence (MC 0685).

Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General Philippe Lavigne, visited the NATO EOD COE.

On December 20th, General Philippe Lavigne, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Slovak Republic, honored the NATO Explosive Ordnance Disposal Center of Excellence (EOD COE) with an official visit.

GICHD Innovations Conference

From 14-16 November 2023 LTC Damian Piorko and LTC (ret.) Libor Neyki from the EOD Technologies Department took part in the GICHD Innovations Conference. The conference welcomed over 300 participants from more than 200 organizations operating in over 60 countries and territories.

NATO CBRN EOD Incident Management Staff Officer Training 2023

This year's portfolio of training activities organized by the NATO EOD Centre Of Excellence concludes with the course NATO CBRN EOD Incident Management Staff Officer Training (NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT) held from 06 NOV to 10NOV in Trencin and Novaky (Slovakia).

EOD COE representatives attended the 48th AJOD WG.

The Netherlands Defense Staff Directorate of Plans, with the close cooperation of ACT, organized the 48th Allied Joint Operational Doctrine Working Group (AJOD WG), which took place at the Marine Establishment Amsterdam (MEA), Netherlands, from 07th to 09th of November, 2023.

27th EOD COE Steering Committee Meeting

The 27th NATO EOD COE Steering Committee meeting (SC mtg) was successfully completed. he meeting was held from 6 NOV to 9 NOV 2023 in Trencin, SVK. At the SC mtg, sponsoring nations representatives from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia approved Program of Work for 2024, E&T Calendar for 2024, Budget 2024.

EOD COE Engages in NATO's ICD&E Conference 2023

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD COE) was proud to take part in the 23rd International Concept Development and Experimentation (ICD&E) Conference, hosted by Allied Command Transformation (ACT) from October 30 to November 2, 2023, in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. This prestigious event, centered around the theme, "On the Path to a Multi-Domain Enabled Alliance," emphasized the significance of ACT's Warfare Development Agenda and its alignment with NATO's top priorities.

Representatives of NATO EOD COE, participated in the 65th Explosive Ordnance Disposal Inter-service Working Group (EOD WG) meeting which took place at Club Hotel Loutraki, Greece (GRC) from 16th to 20th October 2023. The meeting was hosted by GRC MILENG School and organized by GRC MILENG Directory.
